Weekly and Monthly Credit Contest Winners for November

Greetings, Stabbies! I would like to remind/invite our members to participate in our Free Company Credit earning contest for weekly and monthly incentives.

For those that are new to the Free Company and to FFXIV in general, a quick summary. Free Companies receive currency called credits whenever their members play the game. Some activities give more credits than others, the most effective way to earn credits is to turn in crafting, gathering and dungeon drops daily at your Grand Company headquarters. A record of everyone’s credit earnings are kept and displayed on FFXIV’s the Lodestone page weekly on every Tuesday and on the first day of a new month.

Not only does earning credits give the FC currency to spend on vital items, but it also allows us to rank higher against other Free Companies on the server, and is generally a metric for strength and activity of Free Company. Because of this, Nymian Royal Academy has a vested interest in incentivizing our members to collect as many credits as they can.

At the end of each month, we look back at the weekly and monthly rankings of our members. The person in the FC that collected the most credits for any one week will earn a special rank “Eorzean PhD” that they can wear for the next month. Anyone who is ranked overall on credits for the month (meaning in the top 500 players on the server over the month) will receive the title and a free rare glamour item of their choice, provided by the Free Company.

Now the rankings for the month of November:

  1. Week 1
    1. Danye Merlskyfsyn – 366th
  2.  Week 2
    1. Justin Moonsbane – 196th
    2. Danye Merlskyfsyn – 209th
    3. Ravella Morlock – 464th
  3. Week 3

    2. Els Ewhere – 287th
    3. Danye Merlskyfysn – 483rd
  4. Week 4
    1. Justin Moonsbane – 77th
    2. Gallen Korrinal – 158th
    3. Anna Greywolfe – 223rd
    4. Danye Merlskyfsyn – 351st

Monthly Overall:

  1. Justin Moonsbane – 92nd
  2. Danye Merlskyfsyn – 192nd

Congratulations to our achievers. It was so heartening to see new names on the list this month. Please keep up the good work and everyone can earn some titles and glamour. I will contact winners in game for rewards. Best of luck in December!

O1S Clear: Numbers Edition

I’ll leave colorful imagery and descriptions of the action itself to those with floofier of hats than mine, but as the group’s number cruncher (why not leave that to the guy with the axe and the hundreds of concussions, right?) I’m happy to announce that after 4 hours and 22 minutes of fighting, we’ve successfully instigated a riot in the Deltascape by slaying Alte Roite. Our kill parse shows that it took us 9 minutes 37 seconds for the final pull. We cleared with WAR/DRK/SCH/AST/SAM/RDM/RDM/MNK.

In addition to the time component of clearing the fight, somewhere between 60-70 servings of raid food (of four delicious {probably?} flavors) were consumed. That’s about 2.5 million gil worth of food over three evenings! I unfortunately didn’t get any numbers as far as potions used, but I’m sure their cost will also continue to build up! Hopefully as more crafters and gatherers reach high levels, we can also subsidize infusions for the group alongside food.

For anyone curious how our progression went, I charted the final boss HP % for each of our 33 pulls. We mostly had solid forward progress, but I’d like to draw attention to the third-to-last pull on Monday. I zoomed in to help you see it, but that’s a 0.26% wipe. We hit enrage with only about 30k (out of 11 million) health remaining. Luckily we kept at it and got our clear on the evening before reset! Here’s hoping this week will go smoother so that we can face the catastrophic fight that is Catastrophe.

Please take our Student Satisfaction Survey!

Please consider taking a few moments to answer our 8-9 question survey regarding our free company, club schedule and how they relate to your needs. At the Royal Academy, we strive to make sure everyone has their voice heard, and that players at ALL LEVELS and time commitments feel included in our events. If you feel as though your player demographic is being underserved with our current event/club spread, the leadership team would love to hear from you to help improve your experience. If you’re totally happy with the FC we’d love to hear from you too so we know to keep doing what we’re doing.

Our students/members are our absolute number one priority here and we aspire to treat you that way. Thank you!

Housing Upgrade Fundraiser Contest: End of Month

Hello everyone!

This post is just to let you know the current standings for the Housing Contest as of close of day on April 30, 2017.

For those who may not know, the Royal Academy is looking to upgrade from a Medium House to a Large Mansion when the Shirogane Housing district is releasing in the Stormblood Expansion, likely sometime during the month of July. Our goal is 50 Million Gil in the FC chest for this purpose. Any member who matches or exceeds Headmistress Kela’s total contribution by the time the house is purchased will receive free crafted furniture from Kela for life.

Here are the current standings:

Currently Kela leads the standings by a threshold of less that 100k gil with a total contribution exceeding 10 million gil. Professor Ponyo is practically neck and neck and is a very good candidate to win the prize offered. Prefect N’tojh is third, encroaching quickly upon 6 million gil contributed.

Considering that we have likely over two months until the contest ends, it really is anyone’s game still. Any money exceeding the goal will be applied towards the building permit and furnishing the yard and commons space or, if in excess of that, will be returned to those that donated money proportional to their contribution. So please don’t be afraid to go over the 50 million gil goal if you’re trying to win the prize, your generosity is welcomed and Kela has no problem making furniture for all!

Thank you for your generosity and good luck Stabbies!
