Spin that Wheel: Stabbies Clear the Shifting Sands

Hot on the tails of some Savage Chaos clears, the Stabbies decided to take some time off and try to make back some of the money that went into those pentameldsĀ  and pots (gotta be raid ready)! They prepared for a regular round of Canals, maybe some Hidden Canals, but then got lucky with the Shifting Sands. First map opened a portal to the new treasure area, and from there they were off to the races.

After some harrowing fights and nail-biting invocation spins, our brave adventurers made it to the final stage: an Altar Diresaur. This beast summoned multiple Altar Dragons and the floor turned orange with AoEs. But the Stabbies prevailed and looted all the chests. Some housing items dropped as well as crafting mats and yet another Thieves’ Map.

All in all, it was a highly successful (and profitable) Maps Night.

See you next week, 8:30 PM CST for more maps. We’re gonna be rich!

Junior Varsity Raiders complete Alphascape

The first official meeting of the Junior Varsity raiding team in patch 4.4 Prelude in Violet was a rousing success! Lead by Club Officer Hunataru, assisted by two additional members of our raiding static Sukutak and Ricola and endgame expert Sylva, three members obtained first-time clears of the new raiding content: Ponyo, Ricmorn and Volescu! Congratulations to all involved.

For those interested in more challenging content, but want a non-toxic low-pressure environment in which to learn, JV raid is the club for you! Hunataru leads and explains mechanics which he mastered as a member of the Varsity raid, and other static members assist to help assure those first-time clears. As the patch progresses and the leadership aquires more experience in the new instances, we expect to host learning parties for Suzaku Extreme and Alphascape Savage.

JV raid club meets Friday nights starting at 8:45pm Central Time. Contact Officer Hunataru via Discord for more information.

Let’s Get High: Deep Dungeon Club Returns!

Hello everyone, here’s the latest news regarding Royal Academy Club activities!

Patch 4.3 is seeing the maximum participation and event coordination that the Academy has seen for many months, likely since the advent of Patch 4.2! Every Tuesday we continue to host weekly clears of The Ridorana Lighthouse, and Wednesday night we help our lower level students advance in Eureka so they can earn Relic Weapons and Armor prior to the launch of Eureka: Pagos, coming soon! Thursdays we host farms of The Minstrel’s Ballad: Tsukuyomi’s Pain, and last week one of our members won a Kamuy Whistle! Monday Nights we continue to run Gazelleskin Maps and Lost Canals, winning gil and fabulous prizes for all.

However, we are most excited to announce the successful relaunch of Deep Dungeon club, which has been on hiatus since the launch of Stormblood, when the previous Deep Dungeon, the Palace of the Dead was no longer incentivizing play with relevant to level 61+ rewards. However, with the patch in of the level 61 and higher deep dungeon Heaven on High this last Tuesday – the Stabbies happily jumped right back in to some of their favorite content.

Sunday July 8 was our first weekly meeting and all teams progressed from the bottom to floor 30. We had 10 active participants forming three teams. The four-man team consisted of Ricola, Mika, Matt and Wolf, and we also fronted two three-man teams: Sukutak, Ponyo and Maximilian AND Kela, Korodi and Hunter! We hope to gain two more people in addition to retaining our ten current participants so as maximize our advantage as we press on into higher, more difficult territory.

Any team that reaches the top* will be rewarded with four million gil to be split among the members of the team: that’s at least one million per person (more, if you happen to like a challenge of a less than light party)!

Hope to see you all in there, until next time!

*reaches the top by participating in our weekly event and completes the instance during the set-aside club meeting timeframe (to encourage participation in the event)!
