Incoming Faculty: Professor Ravella Morlock

Everyone please welcome our newest Professor, Miss Ravella, DPS extraordinaire, treasure hunter and friend of furry creatures. In addition to meeting the level and ilvl requirements [60 and i255 until 4.1], she has volunteered to take over the website blog from Headmistress Kela, which will be her charitable time contribution for the FC.

Kela will be switching her focus to PR and recruitment. Initiatives include her typical upkeep of Facebook, Reddit and Discord recruitment connections, soliciting and updating testimonials, promotional game capture videography, member surveys and active in-game recruitment.

Meanwhile Ravella will be in charge of all news reporting on club meetings and events. This means all Club officers who host events (and anyone who attends events as willing) will be responsible for getting Ravella screenshots and brief synopses of how events were received in order for the blog to report your successes! Please make sending media to Ravella for posting a high priority.

Thank you, everyone!

Nymian Royal Academy completes First Weekly Omega Loot Run

To celebrate the release of the new Normal Mode Omega Deltascape raid, Headmistress Kela organized a Free-Company run from turns one to four, with the goal of exploring the raid, learning mechanics in a friendly environment and apportioning loot.

The group cleared all four turns with only a single wipe on the fourth floor.

Everyone was in the Voice Chat and had a great time, we will be carrying our duty finder parties for weeks to come.

Honorable Meta Achieved

In a fit of silliness and desire for that sweet, sweet exp, the Stabbies have discovered a new meta: White Mage, Summoner (with Titan Egi), Samurai, and Ninja. With this killer party comp Sukutak, N’Tohj, Kotone, and Ravella successfully cleared the level 63 dungeon Shisui of the Violet Tides.

Our intrepid adventurers wanted to see how far they could get without a tank and pulled a couple of trash mobs when they realized: N’Tohj has a pocket tank! For the rest of the dungeon Titan Egi valiantly tanked and was saved from certain death numerous times by Sukutak’s heals. Meanwhile, Kotone and Ravella stabbed everything in sight with sharp objects. The group only suffered one casualty at the very end of the first boss, but other than that stormed their way through the dungeon to victory!

All Left is All Right: Aquapolis Cleared!

Once again the Aquapolis luck continues! The strategy for reaching Chamber 7: Left doors and only left doors. With a couple of clutch Rainbow Jesus saves, Justin Moonsbane (master of the Left Door), Ravella, Chef Xiru, Kela, and N’tohj raided all the treasures the Aquapolis had to offer.

Additionally, almost every map dropped a portal to the Aquapolis so we had quite a few chances to get rich quick this week! Some of the loot recieved: an Owlet minion and a Gingko tree, along with tons of materia, crafting materials, and cold. hard. gil. Join us next Monday, 8:30 CST for the next raid on the Aquapolis. Are you feeling lucky?

PvP Club Reboot is Shattering Success thanks to Stormblood Overhaul

Our esteemed captain Prefect N’tojh led the Royal Academy to three victories and a draw during the first-ever meeting of the Stormblood PvP Club. Participating members included Kela, Ponyo, Gentry, Tiny Tee and Ravella. All games held were in frontline: shatter mode as freelancers.

The PvP club aims to introduce members to both Frontlines and Feast PvP modes in future, and help them learn how to handle their jobs in an incredibly competitive setting with a friendly team which will support you even as you learn. Ideally the club needs precisely a full party of eight to make the most impact and give the group access to the most modes. Please consider making PvP club part of your weekly FFXIV experience!

Thank you N’tojh for your leadership and congratulations on your resounding success!
