Let’s Get High: Deep Dungeon Club Returns!

Hello everyone, here’s the latest news regarding Royal Academy Club activities!

Patch 4.3 is seeing the maximum participation and event coordination that the Academy has seen for many months, likely since the advent of Patch 4.2! Every Tuesday we continue to host weekly clears of The Ridorana Lighthouse, and Wednesday night we help our lower level students advance in Eureka so they can earn Relic Weapons and Armor prior to the launch of Eureka: Pagos, coming soon! Thursdays we host farms of The Minstrel’s Ballad: Tsukuyomi’s Pain, and last week one of our members won a Kamuy Whistle! Monday Nights we continue to run Gazelleskin Maps and Lost Canals, winning gil and fabulous prizes for all.

However, we are most excited to announce the successful relaunch of Deep Dungeon club, which has been on hiatus since the launch of Stormblood, when the previous Deep Dungeon, the Palace of the Dead was no longer incentivizing play with relevant to level 61+ rewards. However, with the patch in of the level 61 and higher deep dungeon Heaven on High this last Tuesday – the Stabbies happily jumped right back in to some of their favorite content.

Sunday July 8 was our first weekly meeting and all teams progressed from the bottom to floor 30. We had 10 active participants forming three teams. The four-man team consisted of Ricola, Mika, Matt and Wolf, and we also fronted two three-man teams: Sukutak, Ponyo and Maximilian AND Kela, Korodi and Hunter! We hope to gain two more people in addition to retaining our ten current participants so as maximize our advantage as we press on into higher, more difficult territory.

Any team that reaches the top* will be rewarded with four million gil to be split among the members of the team: that’s at least one million per person (more, if you happen to like a challenge of a less than light party)!

Hope to see you all in there, until next time!

Eureka Club: Gotta Catch ’em All, Relic Edition

Hello everyone! Just a quick post about our rebooted Eureka club and how it’s not too late for ya’ll to get started on your relics and catch up before the newest expansion of the content (The Forbidden Land Eureka: Pagos) launches in a few weeks.

Last week Officer Kekechuri led a party of low-level people Ponyo, Danye and Korodi to complete their challenge log entries and earn massive experience for the amount of time spent, getting them all one (large) step closer to those sweet, sweet relics!

There are two main goals of Eureka: Collect Anemos Crystals (and Protean crystals although Anemos converts to Protean at a rough rate of 3.5 Protean per 1 Anemos, so collecting Anemos truly collects both types) and increase your Elemental Level (or elvl for short). The Eureka story ends at elvl 17, and you can begin collecting the final piece for your relic weapon one level later at 18. Level 18 should be your end goal for this reason, although the cap is elvl 20.

People get the most gains when they are grouped with people around the same level and with the same goal. For this reason Eureka Club night runs two parties: a low-level (e lvl 1-8) and high level (elvl 9+). The low-level party focuses on getting experience by chaining 60 of three different elemental monsters (totalling 180 mobs), this completes your challenge log and will give you a huge experience bonus. If all 180 mobs are killed, expect to gain 4 to 5 levels!

After reaching level 9 or higher, it finally becomes profitable to participate in the Notorious Monster FATE train! By farming particular mobs (sometimes under time/weather conditions), bosses can be spawned. These bosses give large EXP returns, and drop a bunch of Anemos crystals if you are within three levels of the boss. This is the most effective way to gain Anemos (and Protean) crystals.

Relics can be bought with Protean crystals (the final upgrade is bought directly with Anemos), and you will several hundred crystals, but don’t worry. Farming with a like-minded group of people will get you those rewards in no time at all! Let the EUREKA CLUB show you how.

The Eureka Club meets Wednesday evenings starting at 8:30pm Central Time. Join goal-oriented parties with clear and direct leadership under Officer Kekechuri Hohochuri. Professors will be able to answer your questions about any aspect of the content at any time. No pressure stress-free learning and farming for all! Please join us and watch the Discord for event reminders.

See you all there!

Can’t fight the moonlight: The Royal Academy clears Tsukuyomi Extreme and the Ridorana Lighthouse

Final Fantasy XIV patch 4.3 launched on Tuesday, May 22 and our Stabbies wasted no time in conquering content!

On Wednesday, we offered a virginal run of the newest 24-man raid: The Ridorana Lighthouse. Party was lead by Headmistress Kela and featured a full party of Stabbies: Mana, Luna, Mika, Bella, Tohja, Genesis and Ricola. There were four bosses and while the healer limit break was used on every single boss, there were only two wipes, one to Contruct 7 and one to Yaizmat. After 70 minutes, the instance was learned and cleared with everyone receiving their weekly token and some winning loot as well. If you would like to join us in future for learning/weekly clearing of The Ridorana Lighthouse (helpful for coordinating drops with the new greed-only system), that club meeting will occur every Tuesday Evening at 8:30pm Central Time for the rest of the patch.

The following day we offered a learning party of The Minstrel’s Ballad: Tsukuyomi’s Pain and were pleasantly surprised with a clear of this extremely difficult instance after only about 90 minutes of work. Kela led the instance with expert advice from Mana, both of whom had prior clears. Bella and Ricola earned first-time clears and we were joined by four pick-up players as well. For those looking to learn the new extreme primal in a friendly, helpful environment so to earn new weapons, mounts and other excellent rewards: please join us. This club is held weekly on Thursdays at 8:30pm Central and is hosted by Luna. We frequently also offer farms on request.

Thank you to all who participated for your commitment to excellence. You are what make this Free Company so successful. To the rest, we look forward to having you participate in events such

as these in future!

Brynhildr Server-Wide PvP night is rousing success

Our PvP revival night took place on Tuesday April 24th and began at 8:30pm central time and lasted two hours. We played several matches of 4 on 4 Feast and interfaced with the community. Combatants were as follows:

From the Academy:
Headmistress Kela, Korodi, Ricola, Rhoamer, Sylvis and Danye

From Brynhildr
Sierra Delacroix, Kyrina Mioda, Mima Sarima and Auron Valentine. Thank you so much for attending our event, especially Sierra who brought experience and an upbeat, helpful attitude, and Kyrina and Auron who were trying out PvP for the first time – hope you enjoyed it!

We also had several spectators from around the Primal Data Center, and probably other names who came and left throughout the evening. We hope to front more than one party next week so we can have less swapping/filling and more matches. We may also try Rival Wings if we can get a handful of small groups.

See you next week and thank you for your support Brynhildr!

Synched Raiders Down Melusine in the Coil of Bahamut Turn 7

After many weeks of attempting their most complex fight yet, the Synched Raiding club finally bested the terrible Melusine in Second Coil turn 2 also known as Turn Seven. Renauds got stoned and players tried their best not to flash each other and after executing a complex dance of pain, the evil gorgon of the Shroud was downed. And there were much Fending drops, yay!

The clearing team consisted of Danye and Cerys tanking, Kela and guest healer Bob returning to heal, and Ponyo, Korodi, Hunter and Max on DPS. Please see the five minute clear video to show our loyal returning participants some affection!

Congratulations to all, and we will meet again same time next week for T8!
