Come Ride, Heroes: Varsity Raid clears Omega Savage

The Royal Academy’s representative progression static has successfully deleted Alphascape v3.0 (savage) after 12 weeks of casual 4-hour meetings.

The clearning team included Dark Knight Sukutak, Paladin Ricola, Scholar Kela, White Mage Cerys, Dragoon M’laiboli, Bards Maximillion and Mana and Summoner Mika. Hunter (Astrologian) was unavailable due to his real life Gymnastics competition in which he did spectacularly and will get his first clear with the group this coming lockout. Cerys, normally Ninja, healed for him and Mana one of our residents who raids with another group and had already cleared omega replaced Cerys as the last DPS. Since Mana had already cleared this week we only got one loot drop, Omega Trousers of Casting, which Mika won! Next week the group will have all loot chests. In addition, all clearing party members recieved an Alphascape Datalog v3.0 token.

The parse can be found here.

Please feel free to check in on and congratulate our other members who raid savage with outside groups on their progress which can be found here. We appreciate their representing us to the greater community so be sure to celebrate their accomplishments as well.

The groups begins its progress on Omega M-F next week after weekly clears. Wish us luck, Stabbies!

Class is in Session, the Royal Academy launches In-Character Events!

As you know, the Royal Academy specializes in organizing and running events of all kinds to encourage our members to play together, where other groups may allow their players to progress through the game using it’s built in matchmaking system, playing solo and parallel to each other.

What happens when you have content where players must organize themselves. Such is the nature of Role-Playing, where those interested players must reach out to each other and organize events. This Saturday the Royal Academy endeavored to expand its content offerings and leapt into the world of RP.

We invited very talented and serious RP character Professor Shishido Misido from Tonberry Warmachine to come give a lecture on Aetherology 101. Topics such as the corporeal and aetherial planes, the lifestream, elemental aspects, and the origination of crystals were discussed at length.

We also learned that the songs The Measure of Our Reach and the Measure of His Reach are different.

In attendance we had:

Headmistress Kekela Kela
Adjunct Sukutak Amasawa
Adjunct Ponyo Amasawa
Mimiko Miko
Jaime Porter
Kekechuri Hohochuri
Louisoix Belanger
Hope Muse
Lillica Vale
Ark Irion
Dinui Mewrilah
Vivian Cerberus
Axianne Redsteele
M’laiboli Fhey
Nadezhda Krjs
Haegar Targaryen

Professor Shishido told me that his largest ever class was fourteen students in attendance. We brought sixteen ourselves so we clearly has a large draw of interest.

For those interested in the transcript of events it can be found here.

We will endeavor to make more roleplaying events available to our members in future. Thanks for the wonderful time!

Spin that Wheel: Stabbies Clear the Shifting Sands

Hot on the tails of some Savage Chaos clears, the Stabbies decided to take some time off and try to make back some of the money that went into those pentameldsĀ  and pots (gotta be raid ready)! They prepared for a regular round of Canals, maybe some Hidden Canals, but then got lucky with the Shifting Sands. First map opened a portal to the new treasure area, and from there they were off to the races.

After some harrowing fights and nail-biting invocation spins, our brave adventurers made it to the final stage: an Altar Diresaur. This beast summoned multiple Altar Dragons and the floor turned orange with AoEs. But the Stabbies prevailed and looted all the chests. Some housing items dropped as well as crafting mats and yet another Thieves’ Map.

All in all, it was a highly successful (and profitable) Maps Night.

See you next week, 8:30 PM CST for more maps. We’re gonna be rich!

Junior Varsity Raiders complete Alphascape

The first official meeting of the Junior Varsity raiding team in patch 4.4 Prelude in Violet was a rousing success! Lead by Club Officer Hunataru, assisted by two additional members of our raiding static Sukutak and Ricola and endgame expert Sylva, three members obtained first-time clears of the new raiding content: Ponyo, Ricmorn and Volescu! Congratulations to all involved.

For those interested in more challenging content, but want a non-toxic low-pressure environment in which to learn, JV raid is the club for you! Hunataru leads and explains mechanics which he mastered as a member of the Varsity raid, and other static members assist to help assure those first-time clears. As the patch progresses and the leadership aquires more experience in the new instances, we expect to host learning parties for Suzaku Extreme and Alphascape Savage.

JV raid club meets Friday nights starting at 8:45pm Central Time. Contact Officer Hunataru via Discord for more information.
