The Return of Good Luck: Stabbies Clear Aquapolis

Welcome to our newest member Richshin Ardoda, who on his first attempt at a Dragonskin Map not only opened the ward to Aquapolis but reached the final chamber, breaking our months long bad-luck spell.

Everyone involved received tomes of scripture, gil, shards, materia, glamour and crafting materials. Congratulations to all!

Palace of the Dead Challenge Continues

This week witnessed several exciting events as our teams continue to get punished by the Deep Dungeon.

Team N’KKK suffered a devastating loss to the floor 170 boss, but after researching their mistake they restarted in good spirits at floor 51 with a new party composition: Paladin, Scholar and two Summoners. Raises for days! They completed to floor 71.

Team CPLS managed to arrive at floor 161 today, clearing the 150 and 160 boss rooms. Hopefully they have better luck on the 170 floor boss next week and have a shot at ending all of our suffering.

The most exciting development, however, was the introduction of a new group of contenders. George, Ravella, Richshin and Maximillion compose our third team of challengers: Team GRRM (affectionately referred to as Team Game of Thones, which serves the dual purpose of sounding awesome and reminding us all that anyone can die at anytime). Team GRRM ran floors 1-10 several times for gear and completed to floor 31 beginning next week.

The first team to 200 wins the 4,000,000 Gil prize. May the best any team win (please, anyone)!

Extreme Primal Club Stacks to Victory against Sephirot

Congratulations to Prefect Luna Arianrhod and her club members who cleared Sephirot Extreme for the first time tonight. Clearing members include Headmistress Kela, Professor Sukutak and Prefects Ponyo and N’tojh. The party also included two pick-up tanks and a black mage and suffered about five wipes before clearing.

Luna is optimistic about the future of the group. She intends to learn and teach the Minstrel’s Ballad (Nidhogg’s Rage) to our community next.

A big thank you to Luna for her effort and time. See you next week!

Airship Club Completes Project

Tonight the crafting and gathering club finally finished the Free Company Airship, a project that has been in the works for the past month. Officer Sukutak wasted no time in sending the ship on its first exploratory voyage. By exploring sectors in the Sea of Clouds, we can unlock upgrades to our current ship, or unlock the ability to have multiple ships concurrently.

Any prefect is welcome to send the airship out on missions, in fact it’s best if it’s always out exploring so make sure to keep an eye on it!

Anyone with an interest in crafting and gathering is welcome to show up at the meeting time – 9pm CST Wednesdays – to help with progressing this important contribution to our company. Thank you to Officer Sukutak and club volunteers for your efforts.

EDIT: The name of the Airship is now Company Airship Doinky McDoinkface. I believe Prefect Xiru needs to be credited for that creation, if I correctly recall

First Junior Varsity Savage Team Meeting Sees Clear of A9s

“So easy a popoto could do it.” – Prefect Sukutak

Headmistress Kela offered her first ever Savage raid learning night, teaching Alexander: The Eyes of the Creator (Savage). Unfortunately, do to real-life constraints (read: College Basketball), only one student was able to participate: Prefect Ponyo. Undaunted, Kela took to Party Finder to fill the roster, making a party of mostly people seeking first-time clears.

Due to the simple nature of the mechanics of the fight, Ponyo was able to complete the instance on only the fifth pull, the run lasted a little over six minutes and there were minimal deaths. Ponyo played as her main job, Dragoon, while Kela supported her while healing as a Scholar.

Ponyo was thrilled with the clear, and emphasized afterward how easy the instance was to clear and learn. Now she’ll be able to join farm parties in party finder, earning easy and unlimited i270 accessories from now until Stormblood.

If you’d like to learn this instance from Kela, it’s not too late! Simply express your desire/availability under the requests channel of the Free Company Discord, and Kela will schedule a second night to learn and run A9s.
